^ Lol, I kinda figured that, but I wasn't sure.
Anyways, I just re-installed Windows last week, but I don't see why that would change them. :\

did this happen upon reinstalling or did it happen, say, a few days after the installation?Originally Posted by Nickthestick91

@Nick - I'm guessing it probably did rearrange em during the install
the only time I can remember Windows messing with my drive letters,
other than a total reinstallation of the OS,
was after removing/reinstalling drives and there was a preceeding letter open
example:
I have a C:, D:, and for whatever reason, a G: drive
uninstall the G:, reinstall and it would default to E:

If that's windows vista then you should not be surprised when beta microsoft software behaves in unexpected and undesirable ways.
In XP you can adjust the letters assigned to drives in control panel, administrative tools, computer management, disk management.

Since his ? mark is under Drives with Removable Storage we can assume it's a cd drive...
Skizo, have you check to see if the drive shows in disk management or device manager?
Nope, it's XP Media Center. Also, are there any risks to changing the drive letter? I don't wanna have to reformat again.Originally Posted by zaphodiv
