I have just recently downloaded a program called Virtual DJ from torrentspy.com and the download went fine but i'm having a wee bit of trouble getting it installed, here is a screenshot.

i cant seem to work out how to get it installed, i have tried to extract all of the files into a folder and doing it that way but it keeps saying that it needs the next volume or something.

    help would be appreciated

sounds to me like either a damaged or incomplete archive, OR....
are they .rar or .zip files?

    if they are .rar files:
    then they're damaged/incomplete

    if they're .zip files:
    they're either damaged/incomplete, or....
you may have to unzip them to get to the .rar archives
(highlight them all, select "extract files...")
it's absolutely stupid, but I have seen numerous files archived in such a way

I usually turn off windows explorer->folder options->view->hide file extensions for known file types.

    >it needs the next volume or something.

This is probably because multipart rar archives are usally named file.rar file.r01 file.r02

If you click on twkdj32a it does not know that twkdj32b is another part of the archive.

When it asked for "the next volume or somthing" (DO NOT SAY OR SOMTHING WHEN ASKING FOR HELP, QUOTE THE EXACT WORDS THAT APPEAR ON THE SCREEN) then just browse to the next file.

and don't forget that running .exe's from untrustworthy sources is high risk. An .exe can do anything to your computer. At a minimum virus scann the extracted installer and after installation.

When asking for help do not say "it dosn't work", describe _exactly_ what you did and what happened.

Burning the files shown above to disc will not help.

    To Threadstarter :

    you can try this :

Unrar twkdj32a and it should automatically unrar all the rest ( which is the b, c ,d, etc.. ) into a folder.

The program ask you that its needs the next volume becos you need to unrar the "a" in that directory and not any where else

OR the your .rar files are corrupted/incomplete download, thus you may need to download all over again
