Is there a programe that i can use to see if i've got a fault with dvd/rw.
The reason i'm asking this is because i keep getting error messages in dvd decrypter, i've also tried dvd fab but getting the same error message.

So i'm just wondering if i've got some sort of fault with my dvd/rw, i've tried diffrent films but still no good.
My dvd/rw is only 1 month old.

When ever i open dvd decrypter i just get a error message each time i try to decrypt a dvd.
I've tried many dvds but get the same error, so i'm wondering if it is my dvd/rw.

could you post the error it is showing, so that we have a better idea of the problem. coz just saying that it gets an error message does not really help

More importantly, is there a program to check if you are a DVD?

This thread promises more than it delivers

    1. Are you digital? If Yes, goto Question 2. If No, you are not a DVD.

    2. Are you versatile? If Yes, goto Question 3. If No, you are not a DVD.

    3. Are you disc-shaped? If Yes, you are a DVD. If No, you are not a DVD.

Here is the error message i get every time i try to decrypt a film.

    1/O Error!

    Device1:1:0) Lite-on DVDRW SHM-165P65 MSOM9(D (ATA

    ScsiStatus: 0x02
    Interpretation: Check Condition

    CDB: 28 00 00 00 02 09 00 00 01 00
    Interpretation Read (10)-Sector: 521

    Sense Area: 70 00 04 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 08 03 00 00 00 00
Interpretation: Logical Unit Communication CRC Error (ULTRA-DMA/32)

Than it's got retry, ignore, abort.
I'v tried many films still the same error.
I even get this error message when i put a film through ripir4me, ripit4me opens up dvd decrypter.
I've tried dvd fab, still the same.
