I'm not sure where I should post this, but I need some help. I have a DTS.NTSC.DVDR-XPDVD file, but cannot play it. Tried Real Player, Windows Media Player, and Quick Time, but nothing works. Any suggestions? They'd really be appreciated.

What actually is the file? That looks like a name of a file. DTS could be the name, NTSC is the region format, DVDR is the media type... Though the the file name itself is too vague to help anymore.. Is it an .nzb file?Originally Posted by cdmontgo
What is the extension on the end?
Where did you get this file? You really need to give more information in order for use to help you.
What is the movie that your trying to play? Give use a screenshot if you can't explain it. I have the feeling your very new to this type of thing. My guess is your trying to open a .rar file.
If your trying to play DTS audio on your pc most media players wont play it.
Players such as PowerDVD Pro and others can play DTS audio...
PowerDVD can play DTS audio but you need to unlock the decoder via a cd-key just like you would PowerDVD.
im having kind of the same problem, i downloaded the movie from newsgroups, extracted the rars, and it left me with a file that has no extension. my problem is not playing it on my computer. I need to know how to burn it. And i cant do that if i dont know if its an iso or whatever.
any ideas?
Maybe you have set Windows Explorer to not show unknown file extensions.
If it is an .img file extension, you can burn it with Nero, under Recorder menu, option to burn foreign image.
saw this maybe it will help...
