Old Games On Xp

But now I just need to find a non-shareware version of Duke Nukem 3d, first 6 levels arne't too interesting.

Do you have Doom 95? It has a Windows 95 interface, so maybe it'll work in XP...

At the site below, it says Duke Nukem won't work in XP.

I'm hoping eventually they'll come out with a 'Duke XP' kind of package that'll fix that problem. I loved that game.

why do you want to get em on ne ways ?
old games = mostly boring aint u got em on ps1?

I found Doom 95 that works well (so far) with XP and I'm still checking out Duke Nukem3D.

If you try using your out look express i know you can find lots of old pc games , on the newsgroups, dont know if they work though so have alook if you wanna

It's all about IRQ's and DMA's the MS DOS environment differs to much from the Win environment. Especially Win XP!
If you just know what your sound card's IRQ and DMA addresses are you could make a DOS boot disc... and start you comp with that!

Autoexec.bat Config.sys... hehehehee...

and Conventional, expanded or extended memory..
I must say i can get everything to work on my pc. But i don't use XP though.
I just see to many problems like this mentioned here.

Where are those original people that know how to use MS DOS? Am i a dying species?
