Thread: Lagging Problems with GTA: San Andreas

    hey guys, i was wondering if you could help me out. i downloaded grand theft auto: san andreas and the game is running fine.

    however, there is some lagging problems that i am having. right now i have a nvidia geforce 6800 geforce, and here are the settings that it is currently on.

    • screen resolution: 1280 by 1024 pixels
    • screen refresh rate: 75 hertz
    • color quality: highest (32 bit)
    • image settings: high performance
    • antialiasing settings: 8xS
    • anisotropic settings: 16x


    just wondering if someone could help me out.. thanks for your help.

    lower your settings for fuck sakes. I cant even run doom 3 at max setting with my 7800 geforce omfg..

    what should i lower it too.. what do you recommend.
    i want it to run smoothly but look good.

    LOWER YOUR AA and AF!!!

    lower your AA to maybe 4X, and AF to 4X-8X depending on how much lag you still get.

    If it still lags then, then put AA to 2X and lower the image quality.

    the 6800 sux, you should have gotten like a GT or ultra at least.

    Your RAM and other technical specs also has to do with it.
