I Want To Develop Palm Os Software

I need to create some software for the Palm organizers. Simple programs for OS versions 3.0 to 4.0 (That would be the black and white, or gray displays). This covers a lot of different brand name Palms.

I know some C/C++, and have done it enough to get what I needed done, but that was a while ago, so I can easily brush up on it if needed. I am a Visual Basic fanatic too. With the programming experiencs that I have, I feel that learning a new language for the Palm won't be so difficult.

Does anyone know what is needed to create the PRC files that the Palms can use?

And, I would also like to know how to HotSync between the Palm and an a PC, via serial port.

The progam I wish to develop is very simple. Fill in the blank boxes and send them to the PC for further editing. The program for the PC can be written in Visual Basic.

Exactly what I needed!

I have tried Google and Yahoo, but yielded many bits and peices. What you posted for me is everything I need to know to get started.
