Conversion Audio Problem

when I convert ntsc to pal using avisynth this is the command I use

AVISource("C:\movie directory.avi")
AssumeFPS(25, 1, true)

it does the frames ok but the audio gets slowed down and sounds deep like a darth vader type thing.. I know this is because it is slowing down the audio from 29fps to 25fps but it did not used to do this... is there any command to put it in kill this? thanks

I use Winavi to convert.

also I have tried AssumeFPS(25, true) with the same result
