I don't even know why this thread had to be made.

A lot of us in here have our quirks, but really, we are the ones in here, we make up the place. There'd be no point to the lounge without the regulars.

And if you'd try and start moderating me for being me in here, what'd be the point of me coming here?

What this tells me, is that you care less about a lot of us lounge regulars, and more about some random wankers who can't handle insults, and who probably hardly ever has anything worthwhile to say.


As for moderating off-topic posts for being off-topic, in this thread, or any other in this off-topic forum.

Want to say before I step away that maker apology though appearing to look a tad schizophrenic points to how it should be. Thus chief in crew has spoken and accepted the terms. As RF has stated I also dont care what pish you talk and it has its appeal and can be humorous. Though when someone is offend back up rather that see it as an opportunity to dig in. Its tiresome getting complaints and trying to find a solution. The thought of a geptards vs mods thing is a bit ol school also...

I am strongly getting the idea that people are under the impression that I made this thread because I was offended by something.

Let me clear things up a bit....

I made the thread because members of the mod team were getting concerned about the general increase in 'perceived' insults. I agreed to make the thread and wrote it with Reality on MSN. This was because it was considered that as a 'lounger' myself, that it would be reasonably well received (hence the geptard and manker poll options)

This was supposed to ask for people's opinions and to find out if it was just the odd occasion of 'taking it the wrong way', or that it was a problem or that no-one was bothered.

Personally, I have only ever been really pissed off with anyone on this forum, and that was before I became a mod.

Sometimes people get carried away, yes and sometimes people should either apologise or back off. Apart from that I don't have issues.

It should be for everyone.

However if someone doesn't want to join in with a specific thread, they don't have to. If they see the nature of a thread and the people contributing and don't like it, then nothing forces them to post in it.

Lots of people "lurk" in that manner. Or just join in with threads which they are comfortable with.

If some fascist/oversensitive/whatever who's been put off 'cos people didn't like the crap they posted, or something, wants to inhibit how we communicate in here, then I don't want them here, tho'.

Anyway, I'd rather have manker/jp/spd/ziggy etc. in here, than someone like that bloke neil who posted that palestine-incomprehensibility a while ago in here, for instance.
