Thread: need some help watching a DVD on my computer

  1. #1

    Surprised/Amazed

I came home tonight, popped SLC Punk into my computer, and was getting a little anxious to watch it, when WMP said "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a problem occured with digital copyright protection." I dont understand what the problem is, as I have watched the movie before on my computer, and the disk in the drive is the original, straight out of the package. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

    [edit]

I dealt with the copyright protection by restarting WMP....not quite sure how that fixed it, but it did >.> but now the video is ultrachoppy, and it cuts off right after the Colombia Tristar thing ends. In the playlist, it also used to show the chapters, but now it only shows "D". Any idea whats going on? thanks again.

You will need to explain more...like did you burn the CD yourself, what program did you use to rip it and what is the format..

as regards help in watching a DVD on your computer...you will have to find another Punk fanatic...you could ask Manker...

SLC Punk nice choice. The only thing I can think of is the slight chance that WMP needs to verify the authencity of the dvd and is trying to connect to the internet to do that. And if you don't have a connection to the internet, it may give an error message.. That's a far shot, but can only explain why it errored once.

I do reccomend using VLC as your dvd player software though. WMP is set up horrible to be naviagating through a dvd. And those chapter selection on the right side just make the selection process even worse...

Not to mention WMP does that half full scren then fades to full screen then back to half full screen if you move the mouse...

    What a horrible program..

Click for more activation options, then activate by telephone. Run the keygen.
if I call them, aren't they going to get me? (you know, down there)

Did you change the region code from your DVD drive?
