Andy Farrell - Fantastic
I saw him in his first international against the Aussies (I think) at Wembley. He played the second half of the under 18's match and scored, and then went on to play the first team match and scored again! He was brilliant. He looked a little like a pig at 18, but soon grew into his features.
Unlike Gary Connelly whose pretty face was gradually mashed up over his career.
I always thought that, post Shaun Edwards, he was the Wigan teams heart.
And foot obviousement.
What, Farrell? Yes I think he was. I hope he does well in Union.
His debut was against NZ not Oz as I said earlier.
Shaun came down to us, and I was lucky enough to meet him several times in the clubhouse after the games. He's one of my all time favorite players ever since I saw him on an interview talking about his facial injury. "Yeh, I broke me eye socket, me cheekbone, me nose, and fractured me skull in this tackle, and didn't want to come off 'cause we needed to win, so I didn't let on I was hurt" Pauses reflectively then laughs, "I must be a bit of a nutter really"
Fantastic.
I didn't he'd played any, being injured and all that jazz.
He's played a key role in the ardous game which is RL for over 13 years. We've put him out to grass in the gentler world of Union, where he can recuperate from the pasting his body has taken in RL for more than a decade.
Union. Where League players go to retire. Fact.

Mind, I do agree that RL is a tougher game, so did all the Welsh and NZ players, who had to do extra training to get up to speed, that I saw go there all those years ago![]()
Piss-ant. Don't mock my grammer. I'm scanning a book for himself and am not concentrating properly.
