Looking for loopholes
OK, suppose the Hoops win next Sunday and the Jamtarts beat the Hibees, will the Hoops "accidently" lose to the Jamtarts thereby condemning the Teddies to a year without Champions League football?
I pose this in a purely hypothetical manner, of course.

No, they wont.
They may not play the strongest team possible, but those who do play will try their best to win. In fact if its a younger team then they will probably try harder, to impress the manager and try to get into the "first team" squad. The older players have nothing to play for and dont want to get injured or booked. Why would they run about like mad men in a game which means nothing to them.
Strachan has already been asked about playing younger players and he has said that he would only play those who deserved a chance. He seems to be an honest person and I have no reason to question his answer.
I think some fans may want it to happen. However professional footballers from all over Europe would rather win games than get involved in some stupid local rivalry.
