The Asian teams are doing well this World Cup. South Korea stand a good chance of qualifying and Australia are already through. True, Australia are an Oceanic qualifier but next time they will be qualifying as an Asian team.

Never has a draw been celebrated so much. I think if the game went on any longer a lot of Australians would of had heart attacks. Mr Poll will never set foot in Australia im guessing!

I will say that after seeing the cards being handed out were mostly on bullshit. I saw why the US got so many cards in the Italy game and was dumbfounded. I thought that if you got the ball first that a sliding tackle was legal. Apparently not if the opposing player gets injured....afterwards. I mean the Italian player elbowed a guy in the head and they equate a sliding tackle to that? Atrocious.

Maybe we need to flop more.

I saw the reason for the penalty kick in the Ghana game and thought that was bullshit. Either way though I think the US would not have beaten Ghana but just tied and they still would be out.

All this hoopla I heard about this being the best US team ever and they manage to score one goal on their own out of three games.

Don't we send our best soccer players? I don't think this is a case like the last World Championship and Olympic basketball teams, and World Baseball Classic team where our top and marquis players were absent. I thought this was "it".

They fucking suck.

I dunno US are more great atheltes with their sports like runnign basketball

where soccer is more a skilled game rather then more athletic and really I dont think the US are as interested in soccer which is why not as many great players are getting through

if it beocmes more popular then just maybe USA will be a force

I agree and disagree. Basketball requires tremendous skill. Keep in mind you are putting a ball in a hole not much bigger than the ball and have stringent rules regarding movement with the ball.

If the game was more popular we could be a force.

Darts is another game that requires tremendous skill as the area you are aiming for (say the Bullseye or a treble twenty) is tiny and it has stringent rules regarding the placement of your feet.

Well done to Australia, they have a tough game in the next round against Italy. If they win that I'll drink Foster's for a week.
