Not a penalty for the Italian, he cheated, he chose to crash into the defender hoping to get a penalty, I think he should've been booked for it.
If the defender had been covered in razor blades then I guarantee the Italian would not have got a scratch cos he'd have stepped over him.

Pish. It's not his job to jump over the defender, if he's running along and the defender gets in his way, by sliding into him along the ground that's the defender's fault.

The fact that he could have avoided the defender is neither here nor there.

It was poor defending which led to the goal, not cheating by the Italian.
