    Is it worthwhile running it in the backgroung & blocking Ip's ?
    is it doin' something ? anything ?

    Why not try it for yourself and see?

    It takes up 0% CPU, wouldn't hurt to let it run in the backround.

    I very much trust and respect the ipfilter that wins does in memory of L_A, its a .dat file that you can always get the latest @ http://okwel.info/ipfilter.dat
    However it's only compatible w/ Utorrent if im correct.
    Here are the utorrent instructions on how to use it:
    http://www.utorrent.com/faq.php#What_is_ipfilter.dat.3F
    Its great if you already ust utorrent, because no third party software is necessary.

    i recommend peerguardian above all else
    although ur never gonna be 100% safe

    Thanx for that... I've found PG / PG2 isn't compatable with my system. nice tip

    peerguardian is very importanr prog to have in your computer. if you download movies or PC games for example, the companys save your ip and you can get suit!!!!! so look out

    Before I was using peer guardian, I recieved a very scary email from the MPAA and yes it was real. I have been using PG for over 8 months and have had no problems since.

    Peer Gaurdian is a great app, good at IP & Web Traffic Filtering. Been using it for approx 2 years, now using the 64 bit version which I take my hat off to the developers for making a 64 bit compat version as most big compies are not supporting 64 bit, Plantronics, Logitec and Lexmark to name a few.
