i'm wanting to remove linux from my computer... how do i go about doing so?

find yourself a windows 98 boot disk, boot to it, if it gives you some shit about not having the correct fat partitions just ignore it and wait till you get to a command prompt, then at the prompt type in fdisk /mbr
ex. A:\>fdisk /mbr
this will clear lilo or grub from your boot record and when you reboot it should go strait to windows, then just use windows disk manager to reformat the drive linux was on

use yor boot disk and choose to fix the system files that should do it

What was wrong with mandrake did you not like it?
why not try another distro.

mandrake messed up my hdd. on my 40 gig hdd, i had given mandrake a 5 gig partition. then in windows, it claimed i only had 10 gigs left! thats a missing 25 gigs! i got linux off... but i still get the boot screen! how do i get rid of that?

like someone already said the fixmbr command in the recovery console should do the trick.
