I have an episode of south park, and I want to put a small clip of it into a project for school. What do I use to cut out this clip? (Sound included)..and how?

    Thanks.

Throw it into windows movie maker (since xp has it installed) and you split the clip into the section you want, then hit the produce button and save it as an mpg or avi or whichever format you want it to be in.

My windows movie maker always encounters some error when editing and shuts down, I have reinstalled it, and it still happens.... any ideas?

I currently use Sony Vegas, but you do not want to buy it for a school project...

You could download a trial of Vegas or another video editing program in that range. You may have a little watermark, but for a school project, it's acceptable. That or use your knowledge of filesharing to find what you need.
