    Hi everyone.

Whats a good program to use to really clean out the crap in the registry?
I have norton SW2003 and it just don't do it.
It cleans out some shortcut but it does'nt do much more than that.
I'm able to go in and get the obvious stuff but not everthing nor will I try.
I don't need any comments on how I should be careful or leave it alone.
There's a bunch o crap in there and I need a program that recognizes it.

If you think norton utillities 2003(which I have)cleans your registry great your mistaken.
Yeah it gets more than just shorcuts but it does'nt get rid of eveything.
If you think it does I suggest you look through it.
I just ran win doc to see if it would find some useless keys I know are there.
    guess what?
    Still there!!!
And win doc don't know it or one button and on and on.
I need a program that gets every last vestige of uninstalled programs so that if you reinstalled the program it would'nt know it was ever installed.
And don't tell me about cleansweep either.

RegCleaner is a good freeware program for doing what you have mentioned.

    hi there !
i'm using Ontrack System Suite four, and it is brilliant. it brings up a list of keys colored green (ok to delete) yellow and red .
if i have'nt done it for a couple of weeks, there can be 200 keys to remove and it gets them all.
    regards

MS RegClean, Jouni Vuorio's RegCleaner 4.3, Norton's Utilities, and (sometimes) Registry First Aid v2.0.0

No one cleaning program has been able to do it all. MS RegClean, Jouni Vuorio's RegCleaner 4.3, and Norton's Utilities are also recommended by Fred Langa of the Langa Letter.

ShockAndAwe^i^; If you ever find one program that does it all let me know. I've been searching for years and have found bumpkus as far as one "do it all" program. I know that even with the cleaning done by the forementioned, I can still use other programs to find something left over.

I've never figured out why a cleaner that will do it all seems to be a Mission Impossible.

    I got it from: Here!
    It's free for home use!!!
