    Have you ever used it.

I use one of those TomTom 300 kits and it's feckin awesome. You would not believe just how usefull it is.

Navigated to a hotel near to Old Trafford without a feckin' hitch. Anyone who knows the motorway system, where you go from west to east across north Engerland, knows it can be a real pain in the arse if you don't know the roads, or have a map reader beside you. Not just someone with a map, btw. Someone who actually knows how to read one and understand it.

SatNav ftw. However not if you only ever go to places that you already know. Then you're a cunt.

If your journeys are limited to your house, signing on and collecting pornography from the local newsagent, you don't really need it.

    Sorry but

The one I use also does camera alerts, it shows you where the camera is and what the speed limit is. It even warns you where the cops sometimes put mobile units.

Just helped my bro-in-law set up a TomTom 500 for his wifey.

She's not got the proper aptitude for such things normally, and it took us five minutes to get her schooled.

    I want one.

They really are fantastic, mate. I genuinely love it to bits.

I tend to just use the postcode (zipcode?) rather than the address and it works a fecking treat. You can also tell it if you want to avoid motorways (freeways) or if you want to go via certain other places.

    A brilliant invention.
