i see that i watch the premiership and the dutch eredivisie (as a lot of other leagues) and my guess that you don't look much further then late nite 20 minute highlights of the english premiership.

Kuyt is a great player but a center! He's playing at my team, i do know where he plays! Van Persie is not a center striker! If Kuyt needs to be compaired, i guess Shearer comes closest to his playing style. Not a Bergkamp, but way more effective in the finishing.

Engllish teams just can pay up the money he's worth, not even abraham
I'm a Man United season ticket holder and watch more EPL than you could shake a stick at, but don't let that fool you - just because a person watches a lot of soccer, doesn't mean that he or she knows what they're talking about.

    As is the case here.

Kuyt and Van Persie both play as central strikers for their respective clubs. You see Wenger prefers extremely pacy players to play in wide positions for Arsenal, Van Persie isn't that quick so for the last two years, Wenger has been training Van Persie to play in a central striking position.

There is only one central striker berth in the system that Holland plays and that's occupied (by another Premiership player, surprise surprise) so Kuyt and Van Persie are vying for the a slot on the right (the slot on the left is occupied by another Premieship player - more surprises!).

Kuyt was in the box seat but now Van Basten is hinting that he prefers a player who has started less than ten times for his club and cannot possibly be match fit. Since Kuyt is such a sensation in the Dutch league, this infers to me that the Dutch league isn't actually all that good.

Shearer is a lot like Keegan, FYI.

Btw, I don't mean they're both cunts (even though they are).

I mean that they both have the same hustling, jostling, bustling, run all fecking day style that paid great dividends throughout their careers - however, skilful they are not.

Shit, I so nearly fell for that.

I just had a Gordon Banks > Pele moment. You know the one.

    Indeed

Some brainiac might still fall foul of it, but.
