Thread: uTorrent

  1. #11
    Example
    My maximum internet download Speed => D = 110
    My maximum internet upload speed => U = 29

    Packet confirmation calculation:
    C = D*64/1500 = 110*64/1500
    C = 4.7 KB/s

    My maximum upload speed should be:
    U - C = 24.3

    Therefore I should set my torrent program to 24.3 or to the closest lower value, so my upload speed in uTorrent is set to 24 KB/s.

  2. BitTorrent   -   #12
    Running any bittorrent client (I have used utorrent, bitcomet, azureus, bittornado) periodically causes my internet connection to completely shut off.

    The cable modem doesnt actually lose connection, but the incoming data light starts blinking then stops when things shut down. Comes back within a minute or so but is very annoying. If I am JUST seeding, it happens much less frequently. And if I am downloading very fast, it also is less frequent (700KB/s+)

    Any ideas?
