Spyware Doctor scan claims to be able to remove it.

Ahh.. That backdoor adware.. Search also in the ad-remove programes i've seen some versions of it beeing able to remove them from there manually.
Go on safe mode though first..

But it looks like Spyware Doc will do the trick!

I did a search, ad-aware seems to be able to clean it without backup though.
Download the free Edition if you don't have the pro and give it a shot!

What about Hijackthis? Have you tried that? If it starts up as you restart computer you could also try going to Start/Run/Msconfig and go to startup tab if you see it there or any unused things uncheck and restart computer.
