How many Torrent sites are you a member at?

The only thing I always wonder is ... what if you only remain active at 3 or so trackers. What happens when those trackers are suddenly shut down?

ive been trying to get into demonoid for ages now, but it just keeps eluding me !

ok, so some of you are at only 5 trackers...

lets say one is for music, one is for sports, one is for books, one is for games, and one is for magic.

I could not do it that 5 tracker thing. I like TV and Movies too much.

pick "secure" tracker for that matter.

A secure tracker generally has been around for ages (duh!), has staffers who know what they are doing (a good crew always has preplans for emergency like backup or a quick way to remove every torrent expects from the website), and smaller userbase (less than 15,000 - 20,000 i would say). Also, not uploading popular releases like The Dark Night, having fake login page, SSL etc might help.

There are few trackers who more or less fall under the criteria stated above...stick with those. Those tracker will likely be the last one to fall apart, not saying they can't....but chances of them getting shut down is pretty low.

anyway i have about 10 trackers
i use to collect trackers when i start torrenting
but now i only keep what i need

I have five trackers(one specialized in each category that I like). And there's only one more specialty tracker that I want.

I don't have crappy selection. I just don't need them more (ok maybe HDbits) and thats it. Why would somebody need like 10 0-day accounts because because 2 are more then enough. Why would somebody need to be member of TL, ScT, RevTT at the same time? They usually have the same content.
