It would probably be an ISO or a bin and cue , lots of guides on here or the net to help you .

Download it first then post if you have a problem .

Ya slipstreaming is the best way , and look for a Pro Corp. version to get around installing on more than one computer .

Burning with Nero , Alcohol or even Roxio may be a better choice tho .
But look around the forum and use the search function to get better ideas .

This is Windows 2000 not Windows XP so the Corp Edition doesn't apply here.

Using a image burning software will be much simpler than slipstreaming and making your own bootable CD. A bootable image file with Service Pack 4 already integrated should be available if you look for it.

If you don't find it on Bearshare then try eMule.

im very slowly starting to get an idea of how im going to do this.....
also i found this on another thread.......

    File:Windows 2000.iso
    Length:378447872 Bytes,369578KB
    UUHash:=IGlO0PaYBzsBVeNG1mDlxbzJIpQ=

This is and ISO image of Windows 2000 Pro. (I haven't tried actually installing it, yet, but the splash screen on the CD is Win2K)
When I found it on KaZaA, the filaname was someting like this:
Windows 2k os XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.exe.exe (yes, two '.exe')
... where XX etc was the serial number. I did not post it here because of the 'No Serials' message.

    is this helpful??

i think i have most of the information just not the steps on what to do.......

is there like a web site for people like me (who arent as old and as expierienced as everyone else on this) that shows like step one step 2 step 3............lol, its sad.

also is there any odds that i could do the entire download from a website and not bearshare or emule etc?
i tried downloading windows 2000 os and with dial up the estimated download time was 29 hours.......

and i dont have any image burning software.................
i have a cd that came with my cd burner that says nero on it.....i havent put it on yet,

i actually havent tried anything anyone has said yet,
the computer i want to put windows 2000 on doesnt have internet access, is that a problem??

i need so much help right now...........

i have a downloaded version of what i think is windows 2000 pro, but the computer that i use the hard drive with is messed up ((powers on but no display)) and when i click on it it uses notepad or word or something to open it but ive never actually opened it it takes forever to open.
    can i use that?

someone pm me or something i dont know anything about this im clueless.................

Nero can burn images. In the Nero Burning ROM application... Click on -->Recorder>Burn Image.

As for downloading an OS with dialup... I don't recommend that at all. Ask someone who has a faster connection.

ISO or bin/cue or ccd or img are all image files.
If you end up with rars then use winrar to extract the image.

Then use vb1234's instructions to burn.
If it's an image file then just burning it with vb1234's instructions will make it bootable.
If it's files and not an iso then you're better off looking for an image file than trying to make that bootable.
