    Shuttle XPC SB81P

    WinXP w/SP2
    Socket LGA775 CPU 3.4GHz
    Corsair dual-channel 1gig memory
GeForce 6800GT PCI-E dual-dvi video card (also has built-in Intel graphics)
74gig Western Digital SATA Raptor drive (10,000RPM)
    Dual-layer CDRW/DVDRW CDROM
    6-in-1 memory card reader
    8-channel audio

It's used but ad states "perfect working condition".

$700 or best offer. I think if I offered $600 it's a good deal. What do you guys think?

Man, I've wanted this or the 939 XPC for some time, but the price has always put me off.

If I could find one for that price with a decent set of innards then I'd definitely snap it up. If you've never seen one of these in the flesh believe me, it really is beautiful.

Is it Conroe compatible? Probably not - that might not be an issue but it's something worth thinking about.

    What's Conroe mean?

It's (at $600) a good deal for the seller. Used means to me 1/2 off what it sells for now new. Or less. For the buyer I'd say $400 max. But thats just me & my ideas about used versus new.

With quad-core due out in the 4th quarter, I would probably wait. But if you can't wait, I would rather build my own for 600 bucks.

My offer of $400 was emphatically shot down.

Nope, you wouldn't even come close to getting this hardware for $400

Wow, you guys in the US are obviously used to better deals.

In the UK, just the case is worth $600 new.
