However, points are awarded over 18 holes, rather than the tournament standard of 72.
It's easier to play 18 holes than 72 - why would making the game easier work against the better players ... .

I remember him beating a guy recently in a playoff and the guy had the game in the palm of his hand and fucked it all up. Tiger pulls wins outta his ass, it seems. Also from what I gather from my resident Tiger follower in my crew, Tiger never really gives a hell about the Ryder Cup (yet gives a hell enough to show up). I wish he would so he could just add it to his resume.

I think home field advantage is worth that much. Just look at the numbers. Historically, Euro players have been ranked lower, yet the Ryder Cup is always a tough round for the Americans.
