Woods said that the US are 'massive underdogs' for next week's Ryder Cup.

However, no European player has won a Major for five(?) years and the US players are ranked, on average, a brazillion(?) places above their European counterparts.

Is home advantage worth that much? Can't be since we won easily a couple of years back in the US with, seemingly, inferior players.

Just what is it that makes Europe such overwhelming favourites in Tiger's eyes
I plan on beating him to death with his kids. I'll use them as a bludgeon on his face. -

Well he didn't do it today
Good thing it doesn't count for the streak. It's match play and not 72 holes of golfin'.
Oh and how did I know that folks would come out of the woodwork....when he lost.

Probably cos it's simply not based on his individual play.

The Ryder Cup is the closet thing to a golf Olympics....I guess.

I don't think so as Tiger has an appalling Ryder Cup record.

However, points are awarded over 18 holes, rather than the tournament standard of 72.

It's easier to play 18 holes than 72 - why would making the game easier work against the better players ... .

You see where I'm going with this, Busy.

Hell if you've seen Tiger's record he many times is coming back ftw. I don't see him kicking ass throughout the tourney but mainly he turns it up notch in the last round or so.

I remember him beating a guy recently in a playoff and the guy had the game in the palm of his hand and fucked it all up. Tiger pulls wins outta his ass, it seems. Also from what I gather from my resident Tiger follower in my crew, Tiger never really gives a hell about the Ryder Cup (yet gives a hell enough to show up). I wish he would so he could just add it to his resume.

Oh and no I don't see where you're going with this.

I think home field advantage is worth that much. Just look at the numbers. Historically, Euro players have been ranked lower, yet the Ryder Cup is always a tough round for the Americans. Why, you ask? Weather, the crowds, the Europeans better knowledge of the course, i dunno. But we're due!

    Agreed.

Btw, have the benefits of HGH been proven?

Golf is dull as dishwater but it was quite good fun to see the USA team get their arses handed to them yesterday before the footie came on.
