what kind of pc would u need to watch HD movies?.. 720p etc?

You need a CPU to decode video. The card has little effect (unless you have some weird decoder that uses DXVA, but they are rare and don't really help that much).

I would suggest nothing below Pentium D 920/ AMD X2 3800 and ATI X1600/Nvidia 7600.

If you want future proof system, get a Conroe E6400/X2 4600 as they're cheaper now.

Of course you can watch 720p with a slower system but...

well don't forget, you need a decent monitor that can handle hd at that level too.

Anything over an Athlon 3500+ should be good enough. Also, I believe 6200s are built with a separate chip of somesort for watching HD media.
