Is there any way you can get it to default to "Show Posts" rather than "Show Threads"?

Maybe have it as an option on the user profile?

For advanced search you can go to save preferences at the bottom of the page.

Not sure about the thingy at the top of the page. If that's what you mean I can make post the defaullt but will probably suggest at vb.com that it should use the user's advanced search setting.

It was, and I never noticed it either until I found out that they've now made it ajax.

Doing stuff on the page without it reloading. Liike quick reply, quick edit, saving that search thingy wihtout page reloading, etc.
