Nero Question

i have downloaded a DVD rip from kazaa it is around 670 mb and is an .avi file

I want to burn this to a VCD using nero. When i put the movie file in nero it is (obviously) bigger then 700 mb in the VCD format

My question is -- when the first CD has been filled will nero tell me to insert another CD or will it try to overburn the CD and risk damagin my burner ??. Or will i just have to use another prgram to split the file before i encode it ??

Use TMPGenc to make VCD instead becuz TMPGEnc encodes it faster and with better quality.

main concept encoder it nush easier to ues then tmpgenc and alot quicker

Dont use Nero to encode it always pus movies out of sync

Also, don't worry about the size of the file. Instead look at the length of the movie. If it's longer than 80 minutes, you'll have to split it with TMPGenc and burn two discs. Here is a guide to help you...

the main reason i wanted to use nero was just because it is easy to use. but your guides have helped me out alot so ill try TMPGEnc.

Just so you understand, you'll still have to use Nero to burn your VCD. Tmpgenc only splits and converts your video to a burnable format.
