Watch Stephen King's The Green Mile. It was directed by Frank Darabont who directed The Shawshank Redemption too.
Although it's a drama, i think you'll like it.A rare gem of casting and direction. It is hard to find a flaw in this movie. The camerawork is superb, cast wonderful and direction flawless.

Sin City is a good one, Meglio Giuvantu, Usual Suspects, The Breakfast Club, Shawshank redemption and Requiem of a dream are one of my favorites

and the old version of the hills have eyes is better then the new one, that's for sure (even if marginally).

I would recommend going out with friends or a girlfriend..rather than stay home all summer.
