I need to make 3 websites for me and a couple friends, i have the time to learn how to use a program, but i don't know what software to use. If anyone can recommend a good website design program, that would be beautiful. If possible.....a program that is easy to use, if not i'll just have to learn the hard way. Any suggestions??
microsoft front page the best of all

I don't bother using Dreamweaver, I just use Fireworks MX. You can create awesome graphics really easily and all you need to do is chop it up into slices (in the program) and there you have it, you got your website! You dont need even need to put it together in Dreamweaver!

And FrontPage is terrible, its difficult to customise things, plus you can't create any graphics.

You can get frontpage in the office xp 2002 with frontpage. The file is 404,601 kb. A lot of users should have it when you search for it.

Front page is a 2 CD set. Front page 2000/2002 & ImageComposer. So actually FP does edit graphics.

Plus you could search for "front page plugins" to add features n' such.

Ur better off using Dreamweaver MX and Fireworks MX. Dreamweaver for the coding and Fireworks for the graphics. FrontPage gives you a lot of unecessary MS code that it can make it difficult for you to clean up. Dreamweaver on the other has a simple interface and will allow you develop site much quicker. Besides Dreamweaver can handle a lot of server languages (ASP, Coldfusion, PHP etc...)

My website was created using Dreamweaver. I used the PHP/MySQL server model. The link is http://www.grafikkaos.co.uk B)
Dreamweaver really is the program to use

I think that maybe if you want to do a website, you should learn how to do it, not have some program make it for you, the fact that some people in this topic said "get flash mx and make flash" makes me laugh, it's like saying is their a program for becoming a lawyer.........
Whilst frontpage/dreamweaver etc make it easy to update, they do nothing for tutorials etc, you have to have a base knowledge of html, Java and other basic languages before you use any of the programs.
Frontpage IMO, is the single biggest scam in history, it encourages people to steal other people's sites, how microsoft haven't been brought up on criminal charges for it is beyond me.
To get back to topic, if you want to do a low standard website from scratch and have little or no experience, i suggest visiting the coffee cup website, they are the most advanced in tutorial integration.
I, myself run a web design company, so have dealt with almost every program currently available, we are @ http://www.interactive-multimedia.com
