i tried to invite a buddy of mine, and it also points to that webpage that says sign-ups are closed (see below). What gives? why did they not take away our invites if we can't invite anyone. strange

no, that's the crazy thing. That shows as normal. And when you invite someone, you get the confirmation page showing that the invite has been sent to the e-mail address you specified.

the registration is temporary closed. it happened a few months ago when i invited a friend. it'll allow you to send out invites, but the invitee won't be able to sign up.

how long did it last? because i invited somebody like a week to a week-and-a-half ago and it was working fine then.
