I'm running a 6800 Ultra with 66.93 drivers which are quite old. I hear that the NGO82.12 are an excellent upgrade, fast with good IQ and in general, excellent. I've always used the 66.93 because it doesn't cause hang-ups with my overclocked gainward card, however I'm about to get Hitman 4 and I think I'll need more recent drivers.

I can't seem to find the NGO 82.12s anywhere...Even on the NGO site, the earliest drivers are in the 83.xx series. Anyone know where I can get them?

why do u have to have 82 series? havent' read changelog, but i'm sure as newer versions will contain newer updates for newer games such as the one u spoke of. if ur scared of the 90 series i recommend the 84.43's at the least. no reason to get drivers for specific manufacturers for they usually won't have the best to begin with anyway.

I just heard that the 82.12s are the fastest of the 82 series. Are there NGO 84.43s? Or should I just stick with my 66.93s?

Yeah, been there. Doesn't go as far back as 82.12...I think I'll settle with 84.26 which is supposedly also the best for performance and IQ. Is my card still decent for 1024X768 gaming alonside a AMD3400+ 64bit and 1GB ram, amidst the sea of 7800 and 7950s?

The ones you posted are directly from nVidia and seem to be just regular ForceWare drivers not NGO.
The NGO Optimized driver is a tweaked version of the original ATI/NVIDIA drivers. The main purpose is to satisfy the users with a better performance and better image quality. The Driver has support for all cards.
