hey i have been using bit torrent for ages now however i always encounter one problem.

once i have downloaded a file, i prefer to clean up the file name and remove the _ - etc from the file name.

after doing this i get an error saying the file has been altered and renders the file seedless.

how can you change the name of the file but continue seeding?

    thanks

either make a copy of the file and rename the copy
or stop renaming files that do not need to be renamed.

i dont want to create copies of the files...the files do sometime need renaming when they are rediculously long!

well...renaming the file it's the same with deleting it...so don't rename it unless u plan to stop seeding it

make a par2 file before you rename the files. when you want to seed use it to change the names back to the original names.
