Roxio Uninstalling Question

I've got Easy Cd Creator 6 ready to install, but can't uninstall 5 Platinum because I must have deleted the installer package...
Do I really have to officially uninstall it, or can I just search for everything ECDC 5 on my system (including the registry) and delete?
Was that a stupid question?
Is it possible to just get the uninstaller somewhere?
Will installing 6 overwrite 5?
etc, etc

In general -- is there a multi-purpose uninstaller out there which can remove any program in the case you're missing the uninstaller or there's a bug in the program?

I've had many problems with EZ CD Creator 6. Mainly says that its not compatible and shuts computer down.... grr.
