i just installed ares lite on my new pc whitch has xp,my old pc had win me and ares lite connected quickly and easily.now i have had ares on for almost 2 hours and it does not connect.if this problem has been resolved please redirect me because i have been seacrhing but have not found any answer yet.

What Firewall you using ? Its probably just a setting ,that's easy to correct .

Maybe its the version you are using, or something to do with firewall, you can try also this site:

Why don't you try a newer version of Ares ?
Sounds like you don't have the ports config. right or the Norton firewall is stopping you from connecting .
@limesqueezer , I have to learn how to type faster .Johnboy is new to xp so mabye needs a walk thru ?
