    i want to save my credit files and info from emule. what files do i need to save so when i reinstall emule it will save my files?

    You must save all the files from the config folder to save your credits, known clients, config's etc...

    Could you not use the File transfer Wizard ? Iv never tried it myself but seems good in theory . Depending of course what O/S were talking about .

    Just copy/cut the whole folder where emule is stored to where ever u want to i do it all time

    as a stand alone exe it doesnt install anyway

    if you use standart client just copy exe file over old one in old location.
    if you use any mod then it may or may not get more complicated
    Overall:
    *for other emule users credits copy =clients.met= file into new location
    *to keep your credits with others copy =cryptkey.dat=
    *to keep your preferences copy =preferences.ini=
    *to keep stats copy =statistics.ini=
