Get on and do it girl! I've a friend that did the same and she's never out of work. She says her clients always comment on the fact that women are quicker and tidier than blokes. Plus they are more intuitive about being on somebody elses space.

Now get out of my thread unless you learn how to spell.

Funny, all these years I've been trying to figure out what I wanted to do and more or less considered every single uni course available.
Never even thought about learning a trade

It only makes sense as I quite like painting.

A painter with a minor in spackle could go a long way in this world...

If you like painting, more power to you.
    personally I hate it
I won't ever work as a concrete worker, roofer, drywaller, or painter. most anything else in the trades is fine.

And if you can't get on an actual crew, you can always make your own "overalls-only" one.

things are quiet until hitler decides he'd like to invade russia
    so, he does
the russians are like "OMG WTF D00DZ, STOP TKING"
and the germans are still like "omg ph34r n00bz"
the russians fall back, all the way to moscow
and then they all begin h4xing, which brings on the russian winter
the germans are like "wtf, h4x"

I know, but I like hard work better than sitting at a desk all day long.

I'm going to have a look at the local college later on in the day me thinks. It's too late now to sign up for it and I can't really afford it just now. But I might just go for it next year

Go for the "specialty finishes" trade.
Faux finishes like marbling, graining, stippling, etc.

The projects are typically smaller in scope but the pay is higher.
