Video Conversion

Hi, I am in need of a recommended program that converts wmv and asf formatted videos to mpeg 1. I have EO Video, but it is too slow. Thanks to all who respond.. B)

Sonic Foundry Vegas Video 4+DVD encodes ASF to mpeg 1 and 2. also has ac3 encoder for 5.1 surround sound (available from K++) it does numerous formats.

Hey balamm, can TMPGenc plus actually be used to convert ASF or WMV files?
I know there is a block with virtualdub for these because of the format being exclusive to Microsoft? let me know. I just got the registered version of TMPGEnc 2.58, Thanks B)
