Awww.....here i was hoping for some super impressive computer somewhere in there - haxor's dual Xeon's was kinda there....but somebody needs something with like a 5 200 gig hard drives and 3 gigs ram....mebbe a couple 21 inch LCD screens. Nobody?? Nobody has the superbest of everything? Don't tell me rich people don't use k-lite!

p.s. why were the rules changed so that the winner had to have dual cpu's?
Because I said so.

And if you want the fastest computer possible you must have as many fast processors as possible.

I don't own a computer, I own a gateway

But I want one of these:

Successor to Pentium 4 Northwood processor
Launch in Q2 or H2 2003
Manufactured on 0.09-micron process (90-nanometer)
667MHz to 800MHz Front-Side Bus
Hyper-Threading Technology
Clock speeds of 4GHz and beyond
Increased L2 cache size - maybe 1024KB (1MB)
P4 Northwood = 512KB L2 cache
P4 Willamette = 256KB L2 cache
Close to 100 million transistors
Possible name change to Pentium 5

Why have your 'System and swap' installed on non RAID and your 'Data(storage)' on a RAID????

Wouldn't it make more sense the other way around?

Winner doesn't need to have dual CPU's. RN is J/K :-)

Criteria for winning:
Fastest processor (Dual CPU's do help, but is not a must)
More HDD space (With higher speeds like barracuda etc..)
More RAM (WinXP won't support more than a gig) Preferably DDR
More Video Memory and a better Video card
High quality sound card (128 bit or so)
Motherboard with support for newer technologies (Like hyperthreading)
Faster FSB speeds

There are points for each feature. The rarer the feature, the more are the points. The final points for each configuration is assedded on the average of the features combined. Thus, the one with the best configuration will always be the winner.

PS: I haven't still decided how to allocate the points. If you have got some good ideas, then put it in.
