    Hey i had to do that(write zero's)with a tech on the phone a long time ago.
    Completely forgot about that thanks.
    I'm gonna save that!

    I can't believe you found that page at intel.
    I tried finding one(bios)there before and did'nt find that page.
    I found a bios there but it would'nt install.
    btw it says it's non os dependent.

    If I install the wrong bios,how can I recover from that?

    amatuer question.....

    what does write zeros to drive accomplish?

    and....

    think i am too green to understand...but before when i did this, don't remember using that command, and didn't have to have bios information...

    sorry for my ignorance...please guide me....i have printed out instructions for fdisk and re-format from

    fdisk.radified.com

    and am hoping that will do it.
