Yesterday I ate chinese style pork ribs which were a day out of date but I cooked them for 5 minutes longer to be on the safe side and then when I got home from the pub I cooked myself a cheese omelette.

This morning I woke up at 6am with an upset stomach giving me both ends action.

I can't work out which is the culprit.

    I think the omlette.

I never eat after going to the pub, it always ends in tears
I plan on beating him to death with his kids. I'll use them as a bludgeon on his face. -

It was the ribs, no question.

Oh and when you say "cooked" can we assume that you heard the sound "ding" at the end of the procedure.

So by this fabulous logic we can just ignore best before dates. Simply add 5 minutes cooking time for every day past the said date. I shall be off to ASDA forthwith to be purchasing bargains aplenty.

I couldn't see what difference 12 hours would make in the grand scheme of things. I just thought if I cooked them for a bit longer it would kill off any nasties.

But what difference does an extra 5 minutes do, apart from make your food dry and chewy?
    It's hot in Topeka.

an extra 5 mins at gas mark 7 should kill any nasties, or so i thought.

And they weren't dry and chewy, they were very nice
