Might be remnants from previous installs. Go the Symantec site & dl their tool for completely uninstalling any remnants of Norton products from your puter. Also a slight but real possibility that your copy is corrupt. GL

That's weird. Have any other AV products installed? Oh, I'm thinking by trying to install 3 Symantec products you probably left remnants in your registry. Also what versions & what is your OS? The devils in the details. More details.

i never even got the chance to install it just came up errors or didnt do anything before it came up the installer.
im using win xp home, athalon 1500 mobile. 320mb ram.
not got any av prods. looks through registry, nothing there.

i got one version working, named norton antivirus (9x, 2k, me, xp) or something like that, but that just keeps coming up errors bout missing or corrupt files. and i cant uninstall it either.

reformat on the way me thinks.

Link may not work & use common sense & read about it. This may not be your product & or your OS. http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nsw.n...H89A/SYMCLN.EXE Edit: Link directs to dl direct not info pg. I got there from support (it's online & free). This one is for NSW2002(standard) & XP Pro. Think about this one, you're not being spoon fed. GL
