    Dear Readers,

Wasn't too sure how to create the title.. but I was wondering if there is a way to make it so that you can 'karaoke' to a particular song, but then having the singing in the background(Lower volume) without well losing the midi/music that is playing, because I am trying to sing to a foreign language song but I still need to semi-hear the original singing but still have the music playing at its normal volume...

I am sorry if this is vague, I am just not too sure how to explain it.. thanks

if you have a kara thingy version. you could use goldwave or something to mix it with the original. but have the original at 50% volume

Have you tried any audio editing programs? A lot of them have karaoke filters which lower the vocal levels (although they're not exact as they effectively quiet tones within a certain range so particularly high or low voices won't work too well)

Karafun might do it. It's a free download

    http://www.karafun.com/

You can also download shitloads of karaoke CDG files from usenet or torrents.

I forgot to mention that I know there are Instrumentals.. but I am strange in that I can't really go with the instrumentals without the original singing semi 'guiding' me through...

    Will give Karafun a try.

EDIT: Meh Karafun worked for sooo few of my songs ><
