I watched pretty woman for the first time, yesterday. oh my god I loved it. it's just so lovely and funny. I've always dismissed it, regarding it as a crappy chickflick (which I guess is true?) but I actually really enjoyed it. in the opera scene, I just LOVE it when julia roberts smiles. I'm not really a fan of hers, but that smile melted my heart a little bit. so adorable. and richard gere's eyes... WHERE ARE THEY? does he have any? so fascinating!

so yeah. I'm a fan. straight, too! unbelievable, I know.

I Sell The Dead- Dominic Monighan, Ron Perlman, Larry Fessenden.

Fitfully amusing tale of a pair of graverobbers (Monighan & Fessenden) and their encounters with the dead and not-so-dead.
Clearly made on a shoestring budget, IRTD relies more on atmospherics than special effects...think old time Hammer Films instead of Rob Zombie.

Told in a series of flashbacks as Arthur Blake (Monighan) awaits the guillotine, the different episodes vary widely in quality/mood...I wonder if the film was shot over a period of time instead of all at once.
Oh well, doesn't matter...the movie doesn't take itself seriously and neither do I, although I do have to marvel that such a low rent project could somehow ensnare two actors like Perlman and Monighan.
    Indy cred, FTW, I suppose.
