Saw 6
the limits of control (jim jarmush)

reason: intellectual masturbation - pretentious film
whenever people agree with me, i always feel i must be wrong.
Up In the Air- George Clooney.
Clooney plays Ryan Bingham, a man who flies around the country firing people who's bosses are too chicken to do it themselves.
His whole life is devoted to acquiring 10 million frequent flier miles but his goal- nearly in reach- is threatened when his company decides to start firing people over the internet instead of in person.
Bingham's existence is airports, hotels and car rental kiosks and he knows them inside out and is very comfortably numb.
Clooney is perfect for the role and the whole movie is quite interesting.
Your Mom should love it.
Whip It- Ellen Page, Kristin Wiig, Alia Shawkat.
Bliss Cavander (Page) is a 17 year old Texas girl who decides that the beauty pageant life her mother pushes on her isn't nearly as exciting as becoming "Babe Ruthless", roller derby star.
It's a fairly formulaic plot and the derby scenes aren't as frenetic and violent as they could have been but it's a easy going, likable film.
Helps if you're an Ellen Page fan, which I am.

Just watched Funny People. Not that cool, but it's quite good, actually.
2012!
Bitch Slap- stars three pair of breasts.
Bitch Slap is either the most passionately realized homage to the Grindhouse sub-genre or the most insanely retarded film of recent years.
Soft porn, The Usual Suspects, Sin City, Charlie's Angels and every other highly stylized hipster cliche flick of late- Bitch Slaps simpleminded underpinnings are shamelessly displayed.
Three incredible cleavages, which only incidentally have woman's bodies attached to them- are in the desert, apparently trying to retrieve some sort of treasure.
How they get there is theoretically explained through flashbacks (thanks Memento!), but it's obvious that the flashbacks are less about the plot and more about filming short setpiece masturbatory fantasies.
Whether you decide to laugh at them or with them matters not...you will laugh and that's more than some "comedies" have done for me lately.
I'd say it's a legitimately great trash movie.

The Hurt Locker
I really enjoyed the first half of the movie but than it became too slow, not much happening and all... but it's still a good movie... I would give this a 6.5/10
Avatar.. I liked this movie very much..
