I re-watched Taxi Driver a couple nights ago. I remembered the story and really enjoyed it when I watched it the first time. Now, I believe I have become too desensitized to be as impacted by it as I was before.

I still thought it was good, just have to wonder how it would be received if it were to hit the theaters for the first time today. Earlier rating: 8.5/10 now...7/10.

"The Road". I read the book and it was very very good. I knew that the movie wouldn't live up to it but I watched it anyway, it was ok but it didn't have the same effect on me as the book.

Read the book if you get a chance.

Law Abiding Citizen, I thought it was good up until the ending. The ending was horrible.

Sans soleil - great experience. Mind-bending, extraordinary film about memory, time, life on this planet.

Watched Breaveheart because of MBM. I'm ashamed to say I hadn't watched it yet.

Screw historical accuracy, I don't watch movie to learn history. I watch them for them to inspire me to read history books. As far as the movie goes, it was great. I still prefer Gladiator, though. FReedom is an important thing nonetheless.

And I watched X men Origins: Wolverine. Wow, this movie is soooo cool. I am now going to grow longer sideburns. I don't understand how Wolverine doesn't have any hair on his arms, though. Must be some sort of mutation...

PS: The movie sucked bigtime, but I got what I wanted, stuff blowing up, car chases, etc. I wasn't expecting more anyway.
I'm back. The downside is that I'm also old now.

Keep lowering your expectations and you'll soon have a Will Ferrell film directed by Michael Bay to keep you mesmerized.

Glad you watched and liked Braveheart, Martin! It's funny you mentioned Gladiator, because I had seen BH before it and thought Gladiator was trying to be BH. Later I grew to see that each stands on their own merit. Sitting here, I am having a hard time picking the better of the two. I cannot think of a better epic film that has followed in their footsteps, though.
