Can't remember if I ever asked if I was the only one who's seen Dear Zachary?

    Wrenching.

When the sensory storm finally ebbed, all I could think of was how positively evil my ex-wife was, how much the (true) story's female antagonist sounded like her, and, but for the grace of God, how easily I could have ended up dead from having been with her.

    I can't give it a score, sorry.

    Due Date.

It had Zach whatshisname doing the same role as in the Hangover but a bit more metrosexual, and Robert Downey Junior as his more normal counterpart.

It was entertaining but I'd have killed the idiot halfway through the trip.

At any rate, if youve seen the hangover and couldn't get enough, watch this, otherwise go and see something better.

Lethal Weapon- Danny Glover, Mel Gibson.
Two things struck me after viewing this film:
    -Mel Gibson could actually act
-Mel had an amazing head of hair

Lethal Weapon is one of the ur-buddy cop movies and rolls along quite nicely till the end when all reason and logic disappears and Gary Busey dies*.
I haven't seen the sequels yet but assume that Riggs' death wish is tamped down, thereby removing his characters main point of interest.

All in all, not a great movie but good enough to warrant a watch.

*IMO, Gary Busey dying is always a good idea- preferably sooner than later- but the easy ambiguity of this death is too pat to take.

I remember reading something a long time ago about the climatic fight scene where Gibson and Busey were both too spastic to do any of the stuff that the fight choreographer wanted them to do so in the end they just let them wing it and edited out the parts where they slapped each other like little girls and the like.

Btw those were the good old days when brainless as the movie may have been it was still targeted at an adult audience and the studios didn't demand a PG-13 .

Also every time they show the film on TV they edit out what I think is one the the best , albeit throwaway, scenes .The one at the shooting range where Gibson shoots a happy face on the target.

And yes the movies lose all purpose and any aspirations to character development ( unless mugging for the camera constitutes character development ) after the first one.
It's one of those cases where the people involved with the movie think just because they are all having a great ole time so is the audience.
