I watched a couple of movies.

    Full Metal Jacket

I'm not a fan of Kubrick, but after seeing this I might star becoming one. It's hard to put into words, but the movie shows the boot camp and war as objectively as possible. No corny music. The guy from law and order did a great job, imo. If you're into war movies, this is a must see.

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World

Russel Crowe with sideburns. Nuff said.
Seriously, I was pleasantly surprised. There is action, but it SMART action. Didn't know whether the doctor was Darwin or not, though.

I'm back. The downside is that I'm also old now.

    Inside Job-Charles Ferguson.
A documentary (narrated by Matt Damon) that details the events that lead up to and the aftermath of the latest (and current) financial apocalypse.
We're fucked and will continue to be so.
In fact, I would consider the events of the past few years to be but foreplay...the real boning is yet to come.
If this film (currently in the running for an Oscar) doesn't enrage you, you're dead or part of the very culture the movie examines.

Inside Job is profoundly depressing, which was probably Ferguson's intent, so it must be considered a complete success.

    Aargh.

    Sigh.

    I Spit on Your Grave

A woman gets raped -> seeks revenge.

It's a decent watch, but you've probably seen the plot before (many times).
The predictability to this film is really unfortunate - could have been a lot better.

If you're into rape, revenge and gross stuff it's worth a watch. I wouldn't watch it again.

If you are into rape, revenge and gross stuff then you should probably be institutionalized.

did u watch both versions? there's the 1978 AND teh 2010 model.

tbh, i watched them becuz of the gore and teh brutality of what was to cum from the angry women. while on the skinny side the original actress is much prettier, but the 2010 version of the film was a lot more brutal. i enjoyed both.

    The King's Speech (2010)
Colin Firth, Geoffery Rush, Helena Bonham Carter, Guy Pearce

Absolutely fantastic. (Un)fortunately this film is looming too large in my mind for a decent review right now. If you're a fan of Firth or Rush, 1930s England or character dramas it is a must-see. I would also recommend it to high-school students studying WW2. 10/10.

things are quiet until hitler decides he'd like to invade russia
    so, he does
the russians are like "OMG WTF D00DZ, STOP TKING"
and the germans are still like "omg ph34r n00bz"
the russians fall back, all the way to moscow
and then they all begin h4xing, which brings on the russian winter
the germans are like "wtf, h4x"
